Bead Caps, Bell Caps, Bailes, Claws and Pendant Eyelets

What's the difference between a bead cap and a bell cap?

Easy, a bead cap sits around a bead and is therefore suitable for stringing - it has a hole in it. You can also use headpins and eyepins through the hole.

A bell cap has a loop on the top, so you can pop it on the top of something you want to have, for example, as a pendant or earrings, and glue the piece into the bell cap. Bit like a bell, without the 'clanger' inside!

The other category is for the other ways of hanging or attaching parts.
